Little Holcombe & Tower View

The most important part of every nursery is the staff. We know our staff are caring, skilled and committed. Our approach to managing staff is that people need to feel valued and empowered and that employees should be ‘looked after’.

We have high expectations of the staff with regards to the care they give your child, in return we offer a good working environment where we hope they feel respected and where they enjoy working. Our management team have remained the same for many years.

We feel this is the key to our success as a lot of nurseries do have a high staff turnover with young and inexperienced managers. Our managers are supernumerary, working in the nurseries every day and know all of the children and their families and offer a personal service.

Our Senior Manager: Vickie Kaye

Vickie has worked at the nurseries for over 25 years and is devoted to her role. Vickie is a mum of 2 grown-up girls, Lucy and Grace. She overlooks both settings and is always on hand should you need any help and advice. Vickie is based at Little Holcombe and has been with Linda and Stuart since the start of their journey.

Our Manager: Sarah Whittle

Sarah started at Little Holcombe in 2005 as an apprentice and qualified in 2007. Sarah then went on to achieve a BA Hons in Early Years. She was then appointed to Deputy Manager at Little Holcombe before becoming the Manager at Tower View Nursery in 2023 – Sarah has definitely moved up the ranks and shown a true dedication to her role. Sarah has 2 young children, Jacob and Arabella.

Deputy Manager: Jamie Gallagher

Jamie started at Tower View in 2008. Once she had qualified, she was promoted to Head of Tweenies and then to Deputy Manager – she is an asset to our team. Jamie is now based at Little Holcombe as Deputy Manager and loves her role.

Deputy Manager: Stacey Smith

Stacey returned to our nurseries in 2023, after leaving us in 2017 to start a family. Stacey is currently the Deputy Manager at Tower View. She has 2 young children, Thea and Charlie. Charlie attends Little Holcombe Nursery.

We also employ a full time Qualified Teacher and EYP (Early Years Professional): Judith has been a part of both nurseries for over 20 years, both as a parent and a member of our team. Judith works with the Pre-school children and helps mentor and train the staff.

All of the manager’s children have attended both nurseries. We value their experience as parent’s as well as highly trained professionals, as this helps them to understand the standard of care every family wants for their own child. We pride ourselves with having a low turn over of staff. Many of our staff have been with us for a long time, starting as trainees and then being promoted throughout the nurseries. We nurture our staff, offering them help and support in their personal lives. We also offer a fantastic staff incentive scheme.
